I was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. I graduated from the University of Alabama in Birmingham with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology. I married Shea Mitchell in December of 1999. We have one daughter, Madi, who is five years old.
Before coming to work at Small Business Accounting, I worked in the medical field for ten years. I left the medical field to pursue a career that I truly enjoy, teaching. I taught a four year old kindergarten class for two years and worked as a Psychology teacher at a local high school for a year. I have enjoyed teaching a Sunday School class at our church for the past four years and I am currently the leader of the New Parent Ministry. In order to fill that need for teaching, I lead a forty member Weight Watcher meeting once a week.
In my spare time, which is very little, I enjoy making crafts with Madi, decorating, scrapbooking and entertaining. I love decorating for Christmas. In fact, I usually start the day after Halloween.
I work as the Administrative Assistant at Small Business Accounting. My favorite part of my job is getting to know all of our clients and helping new clients get their business up and running. My dream is to one day own my own business, a Learning Center for Preschool Age children.
